HW 3 Question 4

Scott
What do we assume to be the unit of days? Would it be the mean or do we even need it to solve the problem?

It just indicates the time delays are measured by the unit of days.
In this case, we put a life time(gamma) rv for the time delay; so, its unit is naturally assumed to be days.

The mean of this gamma is given to be 10.
This simply implies the average time delay is 10 days.
