Test Corrections

Regina Phalange
For the test corrections, are we supposed to redo the entire question even if we got partial credit for it, or should we only answer the parts of the questions that we did incorrectly the first time and missed points on?

It depends on the case.

If the question required you to provide clearly separated A and B,
then you can only resolve the wrong part, either A or B.
(Example, in question #5, some of you gave me right probability values but wrong descriptions or vice versa.
In this situation, you only need to provide the probability values or descriptions with respect to your situation.)

If the parts in a question were somehow tangled together, then you might need to resolve everything.
(Example, in question #4, I gave many of you partial credit because you tried hard to figure out the integration in (a). Clearly, we need to redo the problem in this case. Moreover, if the value was wrong in (a), we cannot get the right value in (b).)

Hope this clarifies our situation a little bit.
I still believe some of you feel that you are on a grey area.
Let me know your concerns through the forum or through the email.
Will try my best to clarify it.
